Jane earned her Master of Music degree from DePaul University, and she holds her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from North Central College.  She recently made her Carnegie Hall debut as Manon with New York Lyric Opera.  Jane performed as a young artist in the OperaMaya festival, and performed as Juliette (Roméo et Juliette) and Gilda (Rigoletto) throughout Mexico.  Her performance of Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte with the German Vocal Arts Institute in Seattle, Washington was hailed “an absolute triumph.”  Jane’s bright, flexible soprano voice lends itself quite well to the music of W.A. Mozart; she also performed as Barbarina in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro with Portland Summer Opera Workshop, under the baton of Luke Housner, and as Susanna with The Opera Training Institute of Chicago, under the direction of Michael Ehrman. She has also performed such roles as Nanetta in Verdi’s Falstaff, and Musetta in Puccini’s La Boheme.   During her graduate studies, Jane explored the world of Baroque Opera on the DePaul Opera Theatre stage.  Under the baton of Steven Mosteller and the stage direction of Harry Silverstein, Jane performed as Ninfa in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo, and the attendant in Purcell’s The Fairy Queen.

Additionally, Jane has also performed in operetta and musical theatre, playing such roles as Aline in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Sorcerer, under the direction of Matt Boresi, and Rapunzel (Into the Woods), and Johanna (Sweeney Todd).

Jane has had the pleasure of participating in master classes taught by Nicole Cabell, Bob Heitzinger, Kurt Hanson, Harold Bauer, Tracy Watson, William Watson, Michael Ehrman, Theresa Brancaccio, and Rebecca Schorsch.

Jane completed class levels 1 to 3 at Blackbox Acting in Chicago, where she studied the Meisner method.  She also studied acting at The Second City and Acting Studio Chicago.

Additionally, Jane frequently lends her piano and conducting talents to music theatre productions, and has music directed and accompanied several productions in the Chicago area.
